The scorching summer saw Producer and Director duties at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (Gravity Media for ITV & MasterCard), two stints directing Giants Live at The Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff with the subsequent edits for those episodes (for Channel 5), and two ATP Tour events at Halle and Montreal (for ATP Media) as well as developing a Cloud Forest Films documentary that goes into production in 2023 titled ‘Beyond the Horizon’.
… so it’s been quite a busy few months. Goodwood was a blast working alongside the Gravity team on ITV content and also on daily films for MasterCard that were presented by the ace Becky Evans. During the week, I also directed a film on Tatiana Calderon who is breaking boundaries and re-defining gender roles in Motorsport. You can check out the films on Goodwood's social media channels and using the tag #forcesofinspiration
For Giants Live, the tour continued with stops in London and Cardiff. The former being at The Royal Albert Hall for the 2nd year in a row. It has to be right up there when it comes to locations… just everything bout it is perfect for cameras and the acoustics are like no other. We’ve finished the picture edit for that episode now, which will TX at Christmas on C5, with just the latter stages of post-production to go for that. Danny Wallace and Brycie at the commentary helm for another year, paying homage to the heroes as well as a spreading dash of humour too. Right now we are deep into the Cardiff episode that Eddie Hall presented, which again will be on your screens this festive season.
For ATP Media, Halle and Montreal were incredible to work on. Particularly the story of the effervescent Nick Kyrgios who is backing up his strong words with dominant and at times breath-taking displays of court skill and dexterity… and the occasional outburst thrown in for good measure. Never a dull moment when he is on court..
As Summer rolls into Autumn, ahead I’ll be finishing off the final few Giants Live episodes, some more ATP action as well as dusting down the luggage from the loft and heading to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar…
